Students in the Central Province will receive G.E.C. The first phase of the series of awareness programs about the guidelines and latest instructions issued by the Ministry of Education, Examination Department for choosing A-level subject streams was held on 22.08.2023. It was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Menaka Herath, Secretary of Chief and Ministry of Education,Central Province and Mr. M.G Amarasiri Piyadasa, Director of Education of Central Province, focusing on Wilgamuwa zone.
Also, Additional Provincial Education Director ALM Sarudeen, Wilgamuwa Regional Education Director Priyantha Karunaratne, Deputy Education Director Priyanthi Kodithuvukku, Coordinator of this program series, Assistant Education Director KG Herath Banda and department officials participated in this.
Veteran preachers Asanka Jayaratne, GR Rupasinghe, W.K Sarath Kumara joined in contributing resources for this series of programs.
